Hey there Pirates of the Caribbean!
I am LOVING!!!!! the new show ‘Leave it to Niecy’ on TLC.
After watching her make her kid spit on her finger so she could wipe off said 12 year old’s eyeliner…
Then listening to her dialogue during her mammogram…
And listening to the awesomeness that falls out of her middle child mouth!
I’m hooked!!!
New show on the DVR!
Check it out if you like humorous reality tv, the first two episodes were pretty damn funny.
I’m Blah! Blah! Blah!
Antibiotics aren’t working
My usual home remedies aren’t working
Rest isn’t working
Give me something new people!
I want to be able to talk again (I know this husky voice is so sexy in a lifetime smoker kind of way but really?)
And I want to be able to do everything on my list for a day in one day instead of a week
So, any suggestions?
Take that unreasonable fear!
Never before would I have slept with the windows open.
I has been a constant fear in my life that someone would creep in through an open window and hurt me. I have suffered through high electricity bills from constant air conditioning or undressed down to my undies while I sweat to death when I have not had the money for air.
Suddenly, this year, that has changed. That fear, in light of all my family has been through in the past year, has been vanquished. I have had my windows open since we got home from Minnesota last week. I haven’t closed them at night.
During the day I have been leaving my back door open so the dogs can run in and out. Even with our privacy fence and locked gate, that has never been an option.
I am not sure what has changed, but I am glad it has! Take that!
Day 3 – Photos, the Aquarium and the Trip Home
It is always bittersweet on the last day of any trip, short or long.
You want to stay and grab hold of any experience you missed, but your bed at home is always calling your name.
So we did what any good Girl Scout would do???? right? We took Old Tyme Photos! Don’t we make good saloon girls?
Then we headed downstairs to the Sea Life Aquarium.
We got to see jellyfish.
We walked under sharks. Eeek!
And saw many other wonders of the sea.
Now we are home sweet home.
Awesome trip, amazing experience!
And I am glad I got to share it with my friends and daughters!
Light It Up Blue for Autism Awareness
On April 2nd, Light It Up Blue to spread awareness for Autism. April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day. Change out your porch lights for a blue bulb and support autism awareness. Blue bulbs are available at your local Home Depot. You can also wear blue to work that day to show your support

Autism affects so many children, adults and their families. Get the word out and become aware of what you can do to help in your community.
Day 2 – the Day of the Fearless Girls
The girls started out the day by deciding to forgo the China Ann McClain concert because of the crowd.
When we finally got motivated we decided to go Nickelodeon Universe in the Mall
First we were pulled into the Airbrush Tattoo booth, because well ‘like mother like daughter!’ Brae’s is a hummingbird and flower.
Gillian’s is a fierce tiger! ROAR!
Then on to the rides. My kids apparently are the opposite of me. They love thrill rides like roller coasters and Detonator-type rides.
That is the Spongebob Roller Coaster, which my oldest rode twice. I am sure she would have kept going if I had let her.
Then we did some old-fashioned carnival games before we headed back to the hotel. Six hours of running around an amusement park in a mall is tiring!
On our way out we ran into the Brownie Elf and some of the Daisy Petals. This is Brae and I with one of them.
After that we went back to the hotel, ordered in Chinese takeout and then went swimming. We were all super tired, but in a completely awesome kind of way!
to be continued….
Oh What a Trip!
Had an excellent trip to the Mall of America with one of my BFFs and my daughters!
We drove into Minnesota on Friday.
We got up early on Saturday to see the Birthday Celebration of the Girl Scouts at the Mall of America.
Did you know that the organization is 100 years old?
There were more girls than ever imagined! Over 50,000 attended!
We did a few of the Girl Scout activities but the girls were quickly overwhelmed with the amount of people.
So we decided to ride the light rail downtown.
to be continued tomorrow……
Bananas….
My son’s third obsession is Bananas.
Kind of goes along with the monkey thing, huh? LOL
For breakfast he wants bananas.
For snack he wants bananas.
For lunch he wants bananas.
For dinner….well you get the point!
The only thing is I can’t buy enough bananas at once to make him happy.
If I buy one bunch, he munches through them like a termite destroys wood.
If I buy two or more bunches at once, he suddenly goes on banana strike.
That s#!t is bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!
Also. he loves the dancing peanut butter jelly time banana….
Thanks for stopping by!
Santa…
My son’s second recent obsession is Santa.
And yes, this happened after Christmas was over, not during the season.
And…he is not obsessed with Santa the person as much as what Santa says.
Ho Ho Ho!
Which applies to everything white and fluffy.
Marshmallows are Ho Ho Ho.
Bubble Bath is Ho Ho Ho.
Cotton Balls are Ho Ho Ho.
And of course anyone with a white beard is Ho Ho Ho.
Thanks for stopping by!
